Wineries

The Maule region is home to some of the most traditional wineries in Chile. The ideal starting point to visit the Wine route of the Maule Valley is Talca with a wide range of accommodation and restaurants. We will visit the most beautiful places for you and introduce them here.

Quiet lodge with its own small wine cellar in the heart of Maules – Lodge Casa Chueca. Excursions to the wineries can be organized.

Erasmo – Viña La Reserva de Caliboro

We’re about to start with a big top blast, this is a great vineyard. Beautiful clay buildings, great landscape and not far away there is a small nice restaurant. Don’t even think about stopping by here, it’s really worth spending the whole day here. But the journey from Talca takes more than one hour. One can also connect Caliboro well with other wineries. Good wines are produced for example at Balduzzi in San Javier.

Balduzzi

The classic badly done. Like a rock in the surf, this vineyard defies the strongest earthquakes and huge forest fires. Easy to reach by public transport, Balduzzi is one of the few wineries not to be visited by appointment. Already the vineyard with its beautiful garden is a pleasure and the guided tour is also offered in English. The wines represent an ecological speciality, they finance the afforestation of native forests in Chile.

Gillmore

The Gillmore winery is situated between Talca and Constitucion. Who is on the way to explore the Pacific coast should stop absolutely. In addition to the classic guided tours with an explanation of the production, beautiful handicrafts are offered here, and a small zoo will keep the little pests bored. Great food can then be had on the black sandy beach in Constitucion with a view of the thundering Pacific Ocean.

Corral Victoria

The Corral Victoria Winery is located on the road to San Clemente and the nearby Altos del Lircay and Parque Tricahue nature reserves. The visit to the bodega is not so spectacular, but what is really great is the restaurant and the shop. In the really quaint restaurant there are besides the great facilities cheap and good food, typical dishes of the Chilean Campo. In the sales shop there are not only wines of the own production offered, here there is a legitimate assortment of most wineries of the federal state. I just say, “Let’s go, you won’t be disappointed.”

Viña González Bastías

The vineyard can hardly be surpassed in terms of landscape and offers the visitor a number of extraordinary attractions. Traditional wine-growing and delicious cuisine are well worth a visit. But the best is above all the journey with the small slow train and the river crossing with the rowing boat over the Rio Maule. There is no second time.
