Extraction of raw materials, production of goods, its transportation and trading but also the entire tourism industry like hotels, restaurants and tour-operators are inevitably related to environmental problems. Companies acquiring the “Fair Chile” environmental certificate guarantee their customers a contribution to the development of social- and environmental projects in Chile. Customers will value this preferring these companies' products.

The environmental certificate "Fair Chile" promotes the company:

• on web sites
• on printed advertisement
• by adhesive certificates for offices, entrance areas or receptions
• through governmental accreditation
• at fairs, publications and corporate press conferences
• for tourism companies through “marketing coop”

Award of the certificate "Fair Chile"

Different business activities affect the environment in an also different way. Therefore, it is impossible to make an exact calculation of the particular environmental damage caused by the different businesses. Thus, Fair Chile uses as parameter for the environmental loss, the size of the companies and the number of their employees as calculation basis. Each employee is planting 0.1 symbolical tree per day, 0.5 trees are minimum. The certificate will only be issued annually. The donation is therefore valid for the period between the date of application until incl. December same year

A company of e.g. 7 employees receives the annual „Fair Chile – certificate“donating 0,7 trees x USD 0,80. In this case this adds up to a monthly contribution of USD 16,80 (Currency converter).
