Hotel in Talca, between coast and Andes
Amidst the Chilean wine-growing district with a view to the snow-covered Andes is Hotel Casa Chueca. The nature reserves Altos de Lircay and Siete Tazas are wonderful hiking destinies, mountain farmers accompany equestrians through the Melado Valley and the surrounding vineyards invite for a visit.
Hotel
The Hotel is on a 6 ha large piece of land on the banks of the Lircay river. Our guests can enjoy the children’s playground, pool, wine-cellar, vegetarian restaurant, W-Lan, bike rental, whirlpool, language school, petting zoo, fitness room, inline-skating, pedal go-kart and a seminar room. Our different room options offer adequate accommodation for every traveller.
Mountain lodge
Our “Lamalodge” is located in the core of the Melado Valley at the foot of the volcano San Pedro at only two hour’s drive from Casa Chueca. Despite its remote location the Lamalodge offers a lot of comfort: kitchen, living-room with chimney heating, comfy beds and warm shower. The lodge is the perfect starting point for explorations by foot or horse in the Andean world.
Activities and Offers
Many vineyards are waiting for you to visit; an old train chugs to the Pacific coast; the virgin woods in the Andes and the majestic Cordillera relief attract hikers from all over the world. We can provide you with information for trips on your own account or you can book them with us.

Important Data
- Casa Chueca is closed from the beginning of June to the end of August.
- The Chilean Central Region allows hiking from September till the end of autumn.
- If you would like to make a reservation for a tour or want to rent a car, you have to do it by e-mail.
- We know our region and the country very well, write hiking guides, and edit hiking maps and many more. We share our knowledge with anyone interested, not only with our guests.
