Description
There are may hikes in Chile but only few cabins existing along the trails. The refugio Tricahue and the Lamalodge offering comfortable accommodation and perfect hikes.
1.day
going by public bus to Amerillo, aprox 2 hours. Then you´ll hike for 2 hours to "El Tata" through native forest, visiting unspoilt nature and a small waterfall. The accommodation "Refugio Tricahue" offers much more then they promote, it´s really nice there.
2. day
Hike for the whole day to "La Maquina". It´s not complicated but still work to do. In case you are looking for something more relaxed just stay at the pool or use the sauna. In the late afternoon you´ll go by privat transport to the next accommodation, the Llamalodge, wright in the middle of nowhere. Jaime is going to be your host.
3. day
The hike up to the Cerro Aleman will take more or less 3 hours and then another 2 hours goind back. It´s really going up and up all the time, tecnically it´s easy but strenuous. The view you´ll have from the top is more then beautiful, it´s comparable with the himalyan mountain range. Jaime we´ll bring you with 4 x 4 vehicle to the bus stop "Curilinque". From there you take the public bus back to Talca.

Important informations
- The breakfast is about 2 Usd in the Tricahue cabin, the dinner is about 5 Usd in the next restaurant "Fosforito". At the Llamalodge you can use the kitchen for free.
