 With 6959m the Aconcagua is the highest mountain in the whole of the American continent and a very big attraction for mountaineers from all over the world.Although it is actually situated in Argentina, it is most easily reached from Chile due to the closer proximity of Santiago’s InternationalAirport (Chile).Even though this is one of the “Seven Summits”, technically it is notvery difficult to climb.However, given extreme weather conditions with very strong winds and the very high altitude it is still a big challenge even for experienced mountaineers |
