Ubication: Puerto Octay

Starting point: Pto. Octay

How to get there:
The very first night you could stay in hostel Zapato Amarillo, 2 kilometers north of Puerto Octay on the paved road to Osorno
Tel. +56-(0)64-210787
The next night you could stay in the huts of Aguas Calientes Cabañas, next to the hot springs.
Tel. +56-(0)64-331710, +56-(0)64-331711,

Description:
There are ATM’s in Puerto Octay and Entre Lagos, changing cash is not possible. There are plenty of opportunities to eat along the route. Also plenty of “supermercado’s” to stock up your supplies. Consider buying food in Entre Lagos for cooking in Aguas Calientes, because the huts are all equipped with a kitchen. But if you don’t feel like cooking, there is a good restaurant in Aguas Calientes as well.
Things to see & to do
The museum “El Colono” on Independencia 591 in Puerto Octay is worth a visit.
Part of the museum, but outside the town on the road to Centinela, is a barn with agricultural equipment and machinery from mainly German colonists.
Playa Maiten is a nice beach where on sunny days you can soak up the sun.
Around Aguas Calientes are some short hikes possible.
From Aguas Calientes a road leads up to Antillanca ski center and past this center another road leads up to a viewpoint over the Raihuén crater and the surrounding mountains.
