Description:
Years later, his son Aldo, attracted by exceptional climate conditions for the vinegrowing in this Maule region, bought the "Purísima Ranch" where he introduced French cepage. In 1976, after Mr. Aldo Casanova Pozza passed away, his son Hugo took charge of the direction of the family company, based on both, the optimum soil and the great climate conditions (due to sunny and light days, cold summer nights and low temperature together with rain during winter).
With the acquisition of modern machinery and the application of high standard technology, Viña Hugo Casanova annually produces 1.300.000 liters of extraordinary quality wine in different varieties, such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carménère, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The production of his outstanding juice and the great prestige that Chilean wine has reached throughout the world has led Hugo Casanova to start the endeavour of conquering new markets.
Because of this Hugo Casanova Vineyard has transformed its plantings to satisfy the always hard to please taste of this demanding world. Besides, its geographical location within Maule Valley, eminently wine growing region and possessing the 50% of the total production of the country, supports the excellent quality of his wine. Hugo Casanova Vineyard offers 4 lines of fine wines, premium, reserve, varietal plus and varietal. Our winery has won important awards in different countries and events, like Prowein, Concours Mondial of Bruxelles, Japan International Wine Challenge, Selections Mondiales Montreal, International Wine Challenge, Catad'or Hyatt, Concurso Nacional de Vinos de Chile and Challenge International Du Vin. These distinctions are the best proof of the outstanding quality of our wines.
