Starting
from the Altos de Lircay National Park - one of the most beautiful parks
of Central Chile - this hike leads you up to Enladrillado. Watch out!
This "bricked" high plateau is said to be used as a landing
spot for UFOs, as rumour says. Again and again lonely hikers detect
some. Whether UFO or not, the hike is an experience and a must for its
fantastic scenery, anyway. You can also enjoy this tour on horseback.
Day
1: Laguna del Alto
Transfer from Talca to Vilches. A steep ascent of more than 1000 metres
of altitude with the chance to climb the peak of the 2448-metre-high
Cerro Peine, leads us to the beautifully situated Laguna del Alto after
about 7 hours. There we will build our camp. Luggage will be transported
on pack animals. You will only carry your daily baggage.
Day
2: Enladrillado
A narrow path along a crest with an incredible view leads to the landing
spot Enladrillado. The plateau breaks down vertically under our legs
into the 1,000-metre-deep gorge. Often curious condors will accompany
us along our descent and return to Vilches.
Service includes: tent, food, transport of luggage
on horseback, transfer, entrance fees, tour guide.
